Understanding the opponents

Your opponents are ALWAYS bots in paper.io (and almost always bots in paper2.io as well expect duirng special events). This is done for a few reasons but the main two are the fact that they can have ads mid game and so that they don't need to pay for "multiplayer servers" or sometimes not have enough players for a game.

What is a win state?

The game doesn't seem to have a win state as your really slowly gaining land (and the ai gets better as you grow bigger) so how can we even have strats. Well there actualy is one win state, the win state is simply taking over the entire map (100%). As such the best strat is a strat that requires the lest amount of land gained where you can still enclose the map. Having 20% is the same as having 5% when you die, you gain 0 "items" for "second" place. And if you really thing its possible to slowly take land and win go try it, its impossible. As you can see in the bottom image this youtuber (credit to Jelly) had to create a fake thumbnail because actually reaching this state is impossible...

Method 1: Noob method

Don't fall for the noob trap of just trying to take the entire map with a singluar long line. The AI knows what your up to and you will almost always die. It just isn't as efficient for your time as the better method!

Method 2: Slowly take over the whole map
